Shipping policy
Age & Legal Eligibility
- You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or receive alcoholic beverages from Drip Liquor.
- By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
- All shipments containing alcohol are labeled “Adult Signature Required.”
- The carrier will require:
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- An adult (21+) signature at delivery
Shipping Origin
- All orders are shipped from our facility in Hanover Park, Illinois, unless exceptional circumstances require an alternate fulfillment location.
Shipping Destinations & Restrictions
- We do not ship to the following states:
- Massachusetts (MA)
- Tennessee (TN)
- Utah (UT)
- West Virginia (WV)
- This list is not comprehensive and may change due to evolving alcohol shipping regulations.
- Customers outside Illinois are responsible for confirming that alcohol shipments are permitted in their state and local jurisdiction.
We do not ship to:
- PO Boxes
- APO/FPO addresses
- International destinations
(All shipments are within the United States only.)
Shipping Methods, Costs & Insurance
- We offer ground and air shipping options.
- Shipping costs are calculated based on:
- Total order weight
- Number of packages
- Selected shipping method
- All shipping fees include packaging materials.
- Optional shipping insurance is available upon request for an additional fee.
Next Day Air / Express Orders
- Must be placed by 2:00 PM Central Time (CST/CDT).
Order Processing & Shipping Timeframes
- Orders placed Monday through Friday typically ship within 3–5 business days.
- Orders placed after business hours on Friday or during weekends will ship 3–5 business days starting the following Monday.
- We do not ship or deliver on Saturdays or Sundays.
Weather, Temperature & Handling Considerations
- Alcohol is highly sensitive to temperature.
- Even on mild days, delivery vehicles may exceed 90°F, which can cause:
- Cork movement
- Leakage
- Label damage
- Certain products may be adversely affected within hours of exposure to extreme heat or cold.
To help protect your order:
- During periods of extreme weather, shipments may be delayed or scheduled earlier in the week.
- For ground shipments to hot or cold regions, we may:
- Recommend faster shipping, or
- Request acknowledgment of weather-related shipping risks.
Due to the nature of alcohol products, returns or refunds cannot be accepted for items showing signs of heat or cold damage.
Delivery & Address Policies
- An adult (21+) must be present to receive and sign for the delivery.
- Delivery addresses cannot be changed once an order has shipped.
- If necessary, packages may be:
- Held at the carrier’s location for pickup, or
- Returned for reshipment (additional shipping fees may apply)
Missing, Damaged, or Stolen Packages
- Drip Liquor is not responsible for packages reported stolen after confirmed delivery by the carrier.
- For missing or damaged items, customers must provide:
- Clear photographic evidence of the original packaging and contents
- Refunds or replacements cannot be issued without proper documentation.
- Any refund or store credit issued will be determined at the discretion of Drip Liquor.
Unavailable Items
- If an item becomes unavailable:
- A refund will automatically be issued for the unavailable item
- Remaining items in the order will still be shipped
- Once a refund has been processed, no substitutions or order cancellations may be requested.
Older & Vintage Products
- We maintain temperature-controlled storage and ensure full provenance whenever possible.
- In line with industry standards, Drip Liquor cannot be held responsible for products that are more than five years past their most recent vintage.
In-Store Pickup Policy
- In-store pickup orders must be collected by the person who placed the order.
- Customers must present:
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- The credit card used for the purchase
Personal Use & Legal Responsibility
- All products sold are intended for personal consumption only and not for resale.
- Customers are responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding the purchase and receipt of alcohol.
